ABOUT THICH NHAT HANH
Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh is a monk, poet and peace activist, admired throughout the world for his powerful teachings and bestselling writings on mindfulness and peace. His key teaching is that, through present-moment awareness, we can learn to live more happily – the only way to truly develop peace, both in oneself and in the world. He has been a pioneer in bringing Buddhist practice to the West, founding Plum Village monastery in France, five other monasteries and dozens of practice centres in America, Europe, South East Asia and Australia. Over a thousand local mindfulness practice groups (sanghas) have been formed by laypeople in the Plum Village tradition. More about Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh and this tradition is at plumvillage.org and at the website of Plum Village Australia http://www.nhapluu.org/en/
