Frequently Asked Questions about Saddharmadhara

Preparation:
Two to three weeks before the retreat, begin preparing for stillness.
Let go of aggitations  and stimulations such as electronic entertainments.

What To Bring:

Program:
The practice begins at the quietest, stillest time of the day; 3am
there will be walking meditation, sitting meditation and sutta (scripture) study throughout the day.

The daily schedule for the retreat is likely to follow as outlined below. However, please note that adjustments may occur based on decisions made by the thero:

3.00 am – 6.30 am : Meditation during Bhrahma Moortha
6.30 am – 8.00 am : Breakfast/ Pindapatha of Swaminwahansas
8.00 am – 10.30 am : Dhamma Sermon / Dhamma Discussion / Self Study
10.30  am – 12.00 noon : Lunch / Buddha pooja
12.00 noon – 6.00 pm : Dhamma sermon / Dhamma Discussion / Self Study (Gilanpasa = evening allowables,  will be available from 3 -6)
7.00 pm onwards : Self study / Go to rooms / Departure of daily attendees

Venue: Mylor Adventure Camp, 32 Wingrove Rd, Mylor SA 5153
Accommodation: dormitory-style shared rooms, shared bathrooms, and separate accommodation for males & females.

Parking Please use Visitor parking to park your vehicles.
Fleet car park is reserved for people who bring danaya( meals).

Meals: included (breakfast, lunch and afternoon juice/tea).

Cost – $550 per person per retreat.
An initial non-refundable deposit of $250 is required at the time of registration.
